Your gift makes a difference at SF State, where students come first. The Students First campaign seeks to raise $12 million to support our students, ensuring that SF State’s vibrant, diverse student body continues to have access to a high quality public higher education.
We invite you to create your legacy at SF State by establishing a scholarship or fellowship which could be named for you or a company, or in honor or memory of someone special in your life.
The SF State Development Office is happy to discuss other options for named scholarships or fellowships, prizes and awards in addition to those outlined here.
Smaller gifts are most welcome and are placed in the University Scholarship Fund, which makes annual awards to selected undergraduate students.

Opportunities for giving
$25,000 named scholarship fund
A $25,000 endowed fund provides a student with an annual award which will support the cost of books.
$50,000 named scholarship fund
A pledge of $50,000 or more would provide approximately 32% of annual tuition for a full-time undergraduate student, and 26% of tuition for a full-time graduate student, both on an annual basis.
$500,000+ endowed fund
An endowed fund of $500,000 or more would generate a full scholarship that would cover student costs for an entire year.
$1,000,000+ legacy fund
You may consider a bequest or gift of appreciated stock or properties‚ as well as outright donations. We are available to discuss with you the opportunities to create a transformative gift that will benefit generations of future SF State students.
